Cookie Policy
Last updated: 30 May 2026
This Cookie Policy explains how Compreo Business Systems India Private Limited ("Compreo," "we," "us," or "our") uses cookies and similar technologies on our website and across our hosted services, including the Customer, Vendor, and Field-Sales portals and our mobile applications (together, the "Services"). It describes what these technologies are, why we use them, and the choices available to you. This policy should be read together with our Privacy Policy, which provides further detail on how we process personal data under India's Digital Personal Data Protection Act, 2023 (the "DPDP Act") and, where applicable, the EU General Data Protection Regulation ("GDPR").

1. What Cookies Are
A cookie is a small text file that a website or application places on your device (computer, tablet, or mobile phone) when you visit or sign in. Cookies allow the Service to recognise your device, remember your actions and preferences over a period of time, and operate reliably and securely. We also use similar technologies such as pixels, local storage, software development kit (SDK) identifiers in our mobile apps, and session tokens; in this policy, references to "cookies" include these related technologies unless we say otherwise. Cookies may be session cookies, which are deleted when you close your browser, or persistent cookies, which remain on your device until they expire or are removed.
2. Why We Use Cookies
We use cookies to deliver, secure, and improve the Services. Specifically, they allow us to authenticate your session and keep you signed in to the Customer, Vendor, and Field-Sales portals, to remember settings such as your language and display preferences, and to protect against fraud and unauthorised access. We also use cookies to understand how our Services are used so that we can diagnose technical issues, measure performance, and prioritise improvements. Our Services are hosted on Microsoft Azure, and certain cookies support load balancing, routing, and platform security functions provided through that infrastructure.
3. Types of Cookies We Use
We group the cookies and similar technologies we use into the categories below. The examples are illustrative; the specific cookies present may vary depending on the Service, your configuration, and updates we make over time.
| Cookie type | Purpose | Example |
|---|---|---|
| Strictly necessary | Essential for core functionality such as authentication, session management, security, and load balancing. The Services cannot operate correctly without these, so they cannot be switched off through our preference controls. | Session/authentication token; cross-site request forgery (CSRF) protection token; Azure load-balancing affinity cookie. |
| Functional | Remember the choices you make and personalise your experience, such as language, region, and interface settings, so you do not have to re-enter them on each visit. | Stored language or locale preference; "remember this device" indicator; portal layout or display settings. |
| Analytics / performance | Help us understand how visitors and users interact with the Services, including which pages and features are used and where errors occur, so we can improve reliability and usability. Information is used in aggregated or pseudonymised form wherever practicable. | First-party usage analytics identifier; performance/diagnostics cookie measuring page load and error rates. |
4. Third-Party Cookies
Some cookies on our Services are set by third parties that provide functionality on our behalf, such as our hosting and platform provider Microsoft Azure and any analytics or security services we engage. These third parties may process limited information in accordance with their own privacy and cookie policies, and we encourage you to review those policies for details of their practices. We do not permit third parties to use cookies on our Services to build independent advertising profiles of you. Where required by the DPDP Act or the GDPR, we obtain consent before setting non-essential third-party cookies.
5. Managing and Disabling Cookies
You can control and manage cookies in several ways. Where we present a cookie preference tool (cookie banner or settings panel) on our website or portals, you can use it to accept or reject categories of non-essential cookies and to change your choices at any time. You can also manage cookies through your browser settings, which generally allow you to view, block, or delete cookies; instructions are available in the help section of most browsers (for example, Chrome, Edge, Firefox, and Safari), and most mobile operating systems provide equivalent controls for app identifiers and tracking. Please note that strictly necessary cookies cannot be disabled through our preference tool, and that blocking or deleting certain cookies may prevent you from signing in or may degrade the functionality of the Customer, Vendor, or Field-Sales portals.
6. Do Not Track
Some browsers offer a "Do Not Track" (DNT) signal that expresses a preference not to be tracked across websites. There is currently no consistent industry or legal standard for how DNT signals should be interpreted, and our Services do not respond differently to DNT signals at this time. We will continue to monitor developments in this area and update our practices if a recognised standard is adopted. Regardless of DNT, you may exercise the cookie controls described in Section 5 and the data-protection rights described in our Privacy Policy.
7. Changes to This Cookie Policy
We may update this Cookie Policy from time to time to reflect changes in the cookies we use, in technology, or in applicable law, including the DPDP Act and the GDPR. When we make material changes, we will revise the "Last updated" date at the top of this page and, where appropriate, provide a more prominent notice or seek your consent again. We encourage you to review this policy periodically so that you remain informed about how we use cookies. Your continued use of the Services after an update takes effect constitutes your acknowledgement of the revised policy, to the extent permitted by applicable law.
